ABOUT OQC
At Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC) we build quantum computers to enable life-changing discoveries: from new drug modelisation to longer-lasting battery technology and portfolio optimisation. We have launched Europe’s first Quantum Computing as a Service (QCaaS) – to bring quantum to our customers’ fingertips and help them improve their operations and trailblaze new commercial and scientific approaches.
Our team is composed of 40 people with various backgrounds in quantum physics, nanotechnologies, hardware, software and business operations from marketing to intellectual property. We are all bound by the desire to put OQC at the forefront of the quantum revolution and help solve some of the world’s most challenging problems.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Quantum Computing as a Service (QCaaS) is a fundamental part of our offering at OQC. Our QCaaS system allows us to deliver quantum computing to an increasing user base. We are seeking skilled and motivated developers to join our technical team to build high-quality, robust and scalable web services.
In this development role, you will build and maintain services that reside in the cloud, but will have varied responsibilities to ensure that our systems are operational and serve a range of use cases. You will also contribute to the design and development of our QCaaS roadmap. You will work with a range of stakeholders to ensure project success, and will help develop and improve software best practices within our growing organisation. You may also work on systems that are for internal use, not directly aligned with QCaaS. We expect candidates with outstanding technical and team working skills, and a desire to achieve the best results for the organisation whatever the task may be. Knowledge of quantum computing is a bonus.
