Description:
Quandela – a spin-out company from the CNRS’ Centre of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology – builds quantum devices and modules to accelerate the development of quantum communication networks and optical quantum computers. We are seeking a full-time (permanent contract) Analog/Digital Electronic Engineers (Junior and Senior positions opened) to participate in the development of Quandela’s next generation optical quantum computer.
For quantum processing applications, Quandela develops robust and modular electronic architectures to control and monitor optical systems. The successful candidate will design and develop such electronic modules and be responsible of the electronic technical choice, the digital core architectures, the work compliance and the redaction of specification documents. You will be part of a cross-disciplinary team and interact strongly with quantum scientists and optical engineers in both internal research and development projects.
Requirements:
The following skills need to be demonstrated by the selected candidate:
- Background in electronics engineering and related discipline
- English communication skills; both verbal and written
- Practiced in digital and analog electronics design (CPU, FPGA, analog signal processing, etc…)
- Ability to design printed circuit board with software (Altium designer, kiCad), manufacture, repair, and debug electronic boards
- Good knowledge of hardware description languages (VHDL, Verilog) to program FPGA components and other programming languages such as C++ and Python
- Ability to adapt to the requirements of the electronic control of optical systems such as free-space setup and photonic integrated circuit
- Willingness to get involved and understand the requirements of the constant evolution of disruptive technologies
- Possess a creative way of thinking, be energetic and autonomous
