Your responsibilities:
- Lead and co-ordinate advanced photonic integrated circuit development projects
- Design, simulation and tape-out of integrated photonic components and circuits for customer and internal projects.
- PDK building block development, incl. design, simulation, test planning and data analysis.
- Support application engineering and sales with technical assessments and simulations.
- Interface with the fabrication, process engineering and test teams.
- Documentation and reporting.
- Contribute to patent applications and proposal writing.
Your profile:
- MSc or PhD in photonics or related fields.
- Minimum of 3+ years hands-on experience in integrated optics design and simulation.
- Solid understanding and practical experience with different material platforms (SiPh, InP, SiN, SiO2 ) is a strong plus.
- Practical experience with heterogeneous integration and optical I/O is a plus.
- Advanced experience in Lumerical or similar simulation software.
- Experience in compact modeling is a plus.
- Free space optics experience is a plus.
- Open minded, communicative, critical thinker.
- Solution and goal oriented.
- Ability to work in a team and independently.
- Working proficiency in English.
