Layout Engineer (Integrated Photonics)

Your responsibilities:
  • Participate in advanced photonic integrated circuit development projects for external customers and internal R&D projects.
  • Layout of integrated photonic components, test structures and complex circuits
  • Support the customer design submission process
  • Develop and optimize DRC scripts and perform DRCs
  • Perform floor planning and interface with mask tooling
  • Interface with the fabrication, process engineering and test teams.
  • Support application engineering and sales with technical assessments.
  • Documentation and reporting.
Your profile:
  • MSc or PhD in photonics or related fields.
  • Hands-on experience in integrated optics layout and simulation.
  • Layout experience with IPKISS – Luceda is a must.
  • Advanced experience in layout and scripting software is a must.
  • Experience with L-edit, Calibre, Synopsis – OptoDesigner and OptoCompiler is a plus
  • Experience with Linux, Python and/or Ruby is a plus
  • Open minded, communicative, critical thinker.
  • Result and solution oriented.
  • Ability to work in a team and independently.
  • Working proficiency in English.
